New 8th Grade House Series
Hey 8th Grade Parents!
Tonight marks the start of a new 8th grade House series all about relationships. Here is the card that your student should be bringing home tonight to fill you in on what we'll be teaching and how this material can be a great catalyst for conversation in your homes. Just in case that card "didn't make it home" here it is:

EDGE Updates!
Hey Guys!
ReMix and Houses are back on! Hope that everyone had an AWESOME Spring Break and Easter time with their families. I also hope that if you haven't heard about our NYC trip yet, that you snag an 8th grade student who went and hear about all of the awesome things that God is doing in and through New York City.
This Sunday we have JK Jones in the house preaching the Word and starting us off on our new church-wide series, Genesis. Check out what else is going on in the Junior High World:
CIY Engage Team Meetings are this week! 6th Grade Rockford Trip will be in the KidsView 5 pack and the 7th Grade Cincinnati Trip will be in The EDGE Auditorium. Both Meetings are Required and will be held after the 11:30 service at 1:00pm.
CIY Move! All 8th Grade students are invited to join in on the high school CIY Move trip this summer in Holland, MI. For more information CLICK HERE. Scholarships ARE available and applications for those scholarships are due this Sunday! Contact Chelsea Jones for anymore information.

Life in NY
Hey Edge!! Joel Aper here from cold New York! It is really fun, and we are currently having free time. So far we have been walking around Brooklyn with Jonathan who is going to be starting a church plant here and we just prayed for him and his team to find a place to worship and begin their church. Tonight we will be going to the Brooklyn Tabernacle prayer service which we are really excited for. Tomorrow we will be going to a community garden and helping them get ready for the spring season. Well I gotta go. Thanks for all the prayers and support!

ENGAGE 2012!

WHAT ARE WE DOING??
We are working with a Christ in Youth mission organization designed to help the inner city or low income homes. Our jobs could range from roofing, painting, demolition, landscaping, feeding homeless, etc. All of our jobs are Junior High friendly and the Engage staff teaches students how to complete their tasks and tool safety to ensure a safe team. We stay on a college campus and then work throughout the week at a particular project all day and participate in a worship service at night.
COST : Rockford - $400 Cincinnati - $450
This includes food, vehicles, building supplies, hotel stay, etc. during the trip. Apart from the deposit, we raise these funds through support raising. The EDGE Staff walks each team through the How-To's of support raising at our Team Meetings.
DUE DATES : March 18th - $100 deposit due ***this is a non-refundable deposit
April 15th - First Meetings and details
